Report 5. Test Methods for Adhesive Fracture Properties Overall Summary



A summary is presented of studies into various test methods for measuring the fracture properties of adhesives. The test methods investigated were tapered double cantilever beam (TDCB), block shear, three point bend and impact wedge peel. Tests were performed at quasi-static or impact test rates. As this is a summary report, only brief details are presented of methods and results - more extensive details are provided in the Annex reports referred to in this report.
